The LionStrom Rabbitry

Location

  • The LionStrom Rabbits are housed in a safe, dry environment. Our Rabbitry is in the back corner of our property under the shade of a large cedar and a beautiful lacey maple tree. This is the most protected area in the yard with only early morning sun exposure. During the afternoon and early evening they are nicely shaded and cool.

Rabbitry

  • The LionStrom Rabbitry is clean and well-cared for. We work hard to keep our rabbitry as clean as possible. Weekly cleaning of the cages keeps the rabbits smelling fresh and in top condition. We use all nature cleaners that are safe for the rabbits and the environment.

Cages

  • Each rabbit has its own separate cage that is maintained on a daily basis. Our rabbits are handled everyday, and examined to ensure they are in good condition. We are always looking for good eating and drinking habbits and proper elimination. Every rabbit is groomed on a weekly basis, more if they are extra wooly. These rabbits are a labor of love and it's very rewarding to see my rabbits healthy and thriving.

Rabbit Runs

  • An important part of good care of our rabbits is time in the run. We Like to see each rabbit get time out of their cages each week to just be a rabbit, enjoying the grass and clover (we don't use chemical fertalizers on our lawn). Resting in the sun, digging up the grass and running in an open space is essential for the total health of a rabbit. As you can see we have been creative in our efforts to make sure every rabbit gets a turn.
