Welcome to LionStrom Rabbitry.

We are a small family run rabbitry located in Nanaimo, B.C. on beautiful Vancouver Island. With the help of my 3 children, Jeremy ,Sawyer and Khloe, I have been breeding lionhead rabbits since the fall of 2007. We are a homeschool family and are able to devote a generous amount of time to our herd, so every bunny is well loved and cared for. We have a small herd with a maximum capacity of 20 rabbits, but currently have only around a 15 holes filled. I like to keep my numbers low so every rabbit gets the best care possible.

When we first discovered the breed in the summer of 07, it was love at first sight. After many hours of research and a growing passion for this rare new breed, we decided to start our own herd. We began with 2 does and a buck from Manely Rabbits in Victoria and 2 bucks and a doe from Ridgewood Rabbitry in Nanoose. Thanks to Wendy and Wally's hard work and dedication to keeping quality lionheads, I'm now on my way to building my own herd of beautiful lionheads with pedigrees I can be proud of.

Our goal is to breed show quality lionheads with good structure, beautiful manes, and loving personalities. We are working on a variety of colors in our herd, focusing on torts, blue torts, sable points, siamese sables and REWs. I also have a broken blue tort doe back in my herd. I will breed her on occation and hopefully have some beautiful brokens available now and then.

Our next show will be August 21st and 22nd at the VIEX here in Nanaimo. I hope to be showing my 2 siamese sables and several of my torts, breaks will be the deciding factor as to who actually makes it in the show. I will have kits for sale at the show so if you are planning to attend check with me to see what is available.

We have lots of new arrivals this spring. Twana and Adam had a litter of 5, (4 siamese sables and 1 smoke pearl) I'll likely be keeping the siamese sable buck and a siamese sable doe to show in August. Check with me about any of these kits some will be available before the VIEX. Stop by the litters page and check them out. My second set of litters have arrived and on the litters page for you to take a look at. Purdy, Precious and Fantasia have all had litters from Sonata and so far look very promising. Fantasia's litter (3 Tort & 1 smoke pearl) all have amazingly large heads, full muzzles and thick, solid bodies. Purdy's litter (3 tort & 1 blue tort) have lovely bold eyes and are very typie at this point, although I would like to see thicker ears on some of them. Precious' litter 3 weeks old at this point and are looking really nice. Both torts are bucks, the sable point and 2 frosted pearl are all does. This litter has promise, they all have nice big heads with good width between the eyes. Their ears are thick, well furred with nicely rounded tips. They are thick and round with full hindquarters and short straight feet. Stop by the litters page and check them all out.
